Caulfield Racing odds

Caulfield was nice and firm on Thursday. There's a bit of cloud expected but no rain mentioned in the forecast, so expect it to stay a Good 3.

The Futurity Stakes is one of three Group 1 races at Caulfield on Saturday. Run over the 1400m course, this weight-for-age race has a top quality field for punters to feast their eyes on.

Turn Me Loose put in a good first-up effort when he ran a close fourth in the CF Orr. He has two wins and a second from three first-up starts and should be able to get to the lead easily from barrier nine. One of the main chances.

Suavito backs up after her CF Orr win when she had the run of the race to win. Won this race last year beating Dissident and is 2-2-0 from four second-up starts. Strong chance.

Hucklebuck was impressive last start from barrier 18 on a course that is problematic for outside starters. Proved his class last Spring when he won the Emirates. Go well.

Boban finished well last start with a tough barrier. Should be fitter for that run and expect him to be motoring home. Top chance.

Politeness is second-up after returning last start over 1100m in the G2 Rubiton. Finished last preparation a nose away from Turn Me Loose over the mile and won second-up last preparation. Another genuine chance.

Stratum Star showed punters that he is a serious contender with a solid run first-up in the CF Orr. Won the G1 Rupert Clarke over this distance in the spring and just missed against Boban. Second-up record is good. Claims.

Trust In A Gust lost no fans last start when travelled wide from barrier 15. Before that started his preparation with a solid run over 1200m. Group 1 winner who can't be dismissed.

Rebel Dane comes off two solid efforts this preparation. Won the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over this distance back in 2013. Consider.

Scissor Kick. Would usually be finding reasons why runners this far down the sheet can't win but not this race. First-up here. Has won 2 from 3 previous first-up starts including Delectation last preparation. Trialled well. Can't discard.

The United States won first-up last preparation over 1500m. Tougher assignment here though.

Entirely Platinum missed when resuming. Ran a nose second to Boban in last year's Memsie over 1400m first-up last preparation. Questionable if he is going that well this time around.

Tough race with so many genuine chances and many of them backing up after racing over this distance at Caulfield last start.

1st Hucklebuck. Classy horse who gets everything to his liking here. Should be right in this.

2nd Suavito

3rd Boban
