NewsThoroughbred Breeders Classic 2016 race preview

Randwick was rated a Slow 7 after Thursday's rain. The forecast is for some light showers between now and Saturday so expect the track condition to stay Soft.
Race four on the nine race program is the Group 2 Breeders Classic for mares over 1200m. Another small field with only seven runners to take part.
Dublin Lass put in a solid effort first-up on a Heavy track when she finished half a length behind Pittsburgh Flyer. Her two runs since then have been spaced out with solid performances in both. Gun jockey onboard. Will be hard to hold out.
I've Got The Looks boasts a strong record on Soft going, although Berry reported she didn't travel well at Gosford last start. Beat Dublin Lass over 1200m on a Slow track in May last year with 3kg extra to carry. Big chance.
Amicus resumes here. Won well first-up last preparation in Group 3 company with Bowman onboard. Followed that with a well rated win in the Group 2 Let's Elope over 1400m.
Miss Cover Girl last start run was encouraging with 59kg. Won over this distance in heavy going last Autumn in Group 3 company. Can figure in the finish.
Slots won three starts back at Doomben. No luck at the Gold Coast following that and then strong burst when finishing at Gosford. Two wins and two placings on wet going. In the mix.
Queen Of Kariba comes off two encouraging runs since wearing blinkers. Starts slow so will need a trail if she is going to be a threat.
Press Report resumes also. Record at Randwick isn't great with a third from eight starts and hasn't figured in the wet.
1st I've Got The Looks for me here. Forgiving her last start and expecting her to shine with all conditions to suit.
