NewsChina Horse Club Breeders Classic 2017 race preview

One of the two quality stakes races at Randwick on Saturday is the Group 2 China Horse Club Breeders Classic run over 1200m and restricted to mares.
The track is currently rated a Good 4 however rain is forecasted over the next 24 hours, so punters should reassess if the track deteriorates.
As the Autumn Carnival approaches more quality horses are returning to the track in preparation for the bigger races over the coming months. This race sees four mares resuming after their Spring campaigns, presenting punters with the challenge of assessing their fitness without recent form to go on.
Form Analysis
3. Danish Twist was third a head to Takedown first-up last preparation running a very fast final 200m. That form rates well against this field. Went well enough in two recent trials. Contender.
4. Egyptian Symbol has an outstanding record at this distance winning both starts this preparation at the 1200m. Beat Takedown down home last year and has a fitness edge in this race. Top chance.
5. Flippant. Forgive his previous two runs where she was caught off the track after jumping from wide barriers. Won comfortably the run before at stakes level. Contender.
6. I am Zelady comes off a solid second losing by a nose at the Gold Coast in front of Egyptian Symbol. Since then she won a 1000m trial at Randwick coming right around the field. Expect her to be in the contest.
8. In Her Time won both her races this preparation in easier grade. Drops 3.5kg from her last start. Consider
1. French Emotion tends to show her best form at 1400m. Has a good first-up record and placed in two recent trials. Could surprise.
2. Tsaritsa is another mare that prefers it a little bit longer. Her 1250m win was in easier grade than this. Was okay in recent trials. Place hope.
7. Circular resumes. Was a genuine improver last preparation but another runner that goes in the "needs further" bucket.
9. Magnajoy has been thereabouts in easier races. Looking elsewhere.
Betting Selections
1st I Am Zelady. Just gets the nod but will be backing her and Egyptian Symbol. Like their fitness edge in this race and both have the ability and recent form to put them right in the finish.
2nd Egyptian Symbol.
3rd Danish Twist
