There aren't too many punters going around proclaiming that they are the best punter around and that's for a few reasons. In most cases it's because they aren't and not even close. There's those that get a bit excited when they string a few wins together and decide to stick them on a website and profess to be the messiah of money with all the right mail. Then there's those that are actually making cash from their racing selections. You will find this lot either sitting back and enjoying the perks that come with success and possibly confirming their success by proofing their tips on a reputable racing website.

SMH form analyst tracking steadily
Sydney Morning Herald form analyst and journalist Peter Davis is the next best performer showing 57% win profit on turnover from 94 best bet selections posted in 2014. It could be argued that Davis' performance is actually better than those impressive statistics indicate as he is required to submit his selections about two days before race start time to meet editorial deadlines. Converting Davis' profit into cash he has made $100 punters a healthy $5,358 so far this year finding 23 winners from 94 selections.
The next best performer with 355 tips posted in 2014 is Goffsta100. The 34 year old Novocastrian has found 46 winners this year at average odds of $10.15, which is a perfect indicator that he knows how to find value on a form guide.
Just three months left for punters and media to make their move on these three outstanding racing analysts. With some of the best racing of the year to come from the 2014 Spring Carnival, there will certainly be enough opportunity for punters to prove they can do better.
